Description
Potato starch is a light flour used in creamy soups, to thicken sauces, and as a substitute for wheat flour to create fluffy light baked goods. This raw ground vegetable is considered to be a resistant starch making it beneficial to gut health as a prebiotic.
If a recipe calls for 1 cup of all purpose flour, use 1/2 cup of potato starch flour. It is also used in natural poultices and basic mineral make-up powders such as blush and eye shadow.
