Used as the primary ingredient in tofu, tempeh and soy milk, they can also be added to breads, soups and stews to boost the protein and fibre content of these foods. Soya beans are low in saturated fat, cholesterol free, and are lactose free, while also a good source of omega-3 fatty acids, vitamins, minerals, antioxidants and phytoestrogens.
