Reishi mushrooms have been used for thousands of years in traditional Chinese medicine as it has many nutritional and medicinal benefits. The superfood is known for calming and relaxing, helps to balance stress levels, improves mood, promotes deep sleep and supports the immune system.
It is traditionally taken as a tonic, with the mushroom and hot water. However, there are many other ways it can be consumed. With your morning coffee, in a healthy hot chocolate, with a roasted dandelion latte, in raw baking, added to cooked dinner meals, added to smoothies. It doesn’t get affected by hot or cold so you can add it to almost anything.
How much to take?
Take 1/4 -1/2 tsp per serve. Start with less and you can build up the amount based on your body’s reaction to the mushroom.
