Description
Organic quinoa flour is stone milled seeds of the quinoa plant, high in protein and naturally free from gluten. It has a mild nutty flavour and can be used to make delicious pancakes, biscuits and in other gluten-free baking. It is best combined with gluten-rich flours when baking cakes and breads to help them rise. Organic quinoa flour blends well with other grain free flours such as buckwheat, almond flour/meal and besan flour. It can also be used as a thickening agent for sauces, in place of cornflour or arrowroot. To thicken a sauce or soup, mix approx 1 tab of flour with a small amount of water (in a small jug) per cup of soup/sauce. Add slowly to the dish whilst stirring constantly and heat for 5 mins until the required consistency is required.
