Description
Organic pearl couscous, also known as Israeli couscous, are larger than regular couscous making them perfect for a variety of dishes. They are made from organic wheat, and have a soft and chewy texture with a slightly nutty flavour.
Pearl couscous can take on flavours from the dish it is added too, or can easily have flavour added to it. It is perfect for hot and cold dishes like salads, soups, as a side dish, curries, hot pots and more!
HOW TO USE
Traditionally cooked pearl couscous is lightly toasted prior to boiling, so if desired add 1tbsp butter or oil to 1 cup of pearl couscous and toast in a pan over medium heat for 3-5 minutes.
Bring 1.5 cups water to the boil and add 1 cup pearl couscous. Bring it back to boil, and then reduce to a simmer for 10-15 minutes. If desired add any salt, herbs and spices to favour. Drain off any remaining water and serve.
