Description
This olive oil is single origin, straight from the farm in Victoria. It is grown in mineral rich soils, olives are hand picked and pressed within hours, resulting in beautiful flavour and high quality oil.
Cold pressing the olives retain the nutrients and antioxidants in the oil. Fresh Extra Virgin Olive Oil can bolster the immune system, help with anti-aging, cognitive function and lowering of blood pressure. It is also high in several vitamins such as A, D, K and E (good for your eyes, skin, blood circulation and calcium absorption).
Not all olive oils are created equal, and many in the supermarkets are not 100% olive oil and are full of added seed or processed oils which are detrimental to your health. Make sure you are choosing the right oils that can benefit your health.
Extra Virgin olive oil is best used fresh or used for low temperature cooking. It has a low smoke point of around 170C, meaning when it is heated to higher than 170C it will essentially burn and change the composition of the oil and become less nutritious.
