Native to China, Cordyceps mushrooms have been used in traditional Chinese medicine for centuries. It has traditionally been used to treat the heart, liver, kidneys and lungs, as well as fatigue and general weakness.
Active benefits may include improved respiratory function, oxygenation of the body, increased vitality, enhanced libido, boost immune system, anti-inflammatory, anti-aging, and stamina and endurance building.
It is traditionally taken as a tonic, with the mushroom and hot water. However, there are many other ways it can be consumed. With your morning coffee, in a healthy hot chocolate, with a roasted dandelion latte, in raw baking, added to cooked dinner meals, added to smoothies. It doesn’t get affected by hot or cold so you can add it to almost anything.
How much to take?
Take 1/4 -1/2 tsp per serve. Start with less and you can build up the amount based on your body’s reaction to the mushroom.
