Description
Organic arrowroot flour, or starch, is the easily digested starch obtained from the arrowroot plant. It is used as a thickening agent in sauces and gravies, especially when a clear or glossy appearance is desired. Arrowroot flour does not turn sauces cloudy like cornflour. It is naturally gluten free and also used in puddings, pies and many baked goodies. To thicken a sauce or soup, mix approx 1 tab of flour with a small amount of water (in a small jug) per cup of soup/sauce. Add slowly to the dish whilst stirring constantly and heat for 5 mins until the required consistency is required.
