Description
Also known as sodium bicarbonate or baking soda, bicarb soda is widely used in baking due to its leavening properties. Carbon dioxide is produced when mixed with moisture and an acidic agent which causes the mixture to rise. It is used in recipes for biscuits, cakes, breads and confectionery. Bicarb soda has many personal uses such as mouthwash, toothpaste, deodorant, settling stomach acids and more. Around the house it can be used in cleaning, removing odours and stains, laundry and many more.
